Frequently Asked Questions

These are some of the more common questions we are asked at Speech Sussex:

How long does a session last?
A therapy session will typically last between 45 mins and 1.5 hours. The therapist will suggest a schedule based on each person's individual needs. If you have any particular requirements or time restrictions, you can discuss this with your therapist who will do their best to accommodate your needs.

How much therapy will be needed?
Therapy packages can be tailored to your individual needs and budget. You may decide to opt for an initial assessment and advice with recommendations or to continue with regular therapy as you wish.

How much are your speech therapy services?
Please see our prices page.

Where will the therapy take place?
We are happy to see clients at home, school, nursery or workplace. If you feel that therapy would be more appropriate in a different environment, please discuss this with your therapist who will do their best to accommodate your needs.

How quickly can I be seen?
We currently have very low waiting times so your assessment and treatment can take place as soon as you need it.

Can I have an appointment to fit in around work or school commitments?
Services for adults are available to fit in around your work schedule - evening or weekend appointments are available.

What evidence is there that this therapy will be helpful?
Your therapist will discuss the therapy approach and can provide you with research papers as appropriate. We encourage people to give us feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
