TV Promos/Trailers (action/excitement)

Take The Money And Run
ABC Network

ABC's new reality TV game show Take The Money And Run uses my track Titan in the new first season's promo trailers.

You can buy and license Titan for your own projects from my music shop here.

24
Fox Network

After using my music in season 7 trailers for the Fox network's TV show 24 (see the clips below), my orchestral action track Zahara is being used again in trailers for Season 8.

You can buy and license Zahara for your own projects from my music shop here.

24
Fox Network

The Fox network's smash hit TV show 24 starring Kiefer Sutherland is currently running a series of promo trailers for Season 7 which use my dramatic orchestral action track Zahara as the music background.

Here are 2 of the promo trailer clips featuring Zahara and you can buy Zahara as a DRM-free CD quality mp3 download from my music shop here.

Time Lapse Photography (science/nature)

Plains Milky Way
Dakotalapse.com

After licensing my music track Scorpio for his winter time lapse film Sub-Zero, time lapse photographer Randy Halverson asked me to write some custom music for his next astronomy time lapse film Plains Milky Way. The music is a quietly haunting soundtrack called Exodus.

The film received a lot of exposure and was featured on several high profile websites and articles including National Geographic, MSN and many others.

After the success of Plains Milky Way, Randy then asked me to composer another track for his next astro time lapse piece Tempest Milky Way. The track for this one is called Tempest and is a more dramatic piece to match the stormy visuals.

Tempest Milky Way was again featured on National Geographic, Yahoo and many other websites and reached over half a million plays in the first week.

Sports Promo (action/excitement)

L.A. Lakers Pre-Game Intros
Sideshow Studios

Basketball legends the L.A. Lakers used my orchestral action track Titan to introduce the team in the opening game of the 2010 NBA season at their home stadium the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The track Titan is also available to buy and license for your own film, trailer or project from the music shop:
www.thebluemask.com/shop/titan

Following the success of the first pre-game video for the Lakers, I was asked to re-edit two more of my orchestral action tracks for further use with new footage and also to write a new dramatic orchestral piece.

The videos play in front of the crowd on a giant 360 screen in the centre of the Staples Center in L.A.

The other three tracks you hear on the right are (from top to bottom) Excelsior, Aeternus and Bloodstorm.

The videos were all produced by Peter Bailey at Sideshow Studios and are shown here with kind permission.

All these tracks, and lots more (in a wide range of styles from atmospheric ambient to dramatic orchestral), are available to license at low cost for use in your own sports trailers, promos, videos and websites from my online web shop:

Documentary (science/history/nature)

Evolution: The Grand Experiment
Audio Visual Consultants Inc.

Evolution: The Grand Experiment is a new documentary show which I composed the music score for. Based on his best-selling book, Dr. Carl Werner explains the framework for the theory of evolution to the public and enlightens the viewer with scientific pros and cons offered by the some of the world’s most respected scientists interviewed during his travels.

The approach Dr. Werner takes in explaining some of his findings is both refreshing and appealing, always allowing the reader to reach their own conclusions.

The music for the documentary ranges from lighthearted with quirky plucked pizzicato strings, acoustic guitar and piano to darker organic soundscapes and atmospheric sounds.

The show won 4 awards including a Gold Medal for Excellence in Music for a Documentary Film.

Video copyright AVC inc.

Episode 1 of Evolution: The Grand Experiment aired on four European channels, four North American networks and has been broadcast in 70 countries worldwide.

I then completed work on episode 2 of the series, Living Fossils which features some stunning nature and underwater photography (see the clip to the right). The music includes more orchestral arrangements as well as piano, guitar and atmospheric ambient sound design.

Film Scoring Demos (action/drama/excitement)

Watchmen (Trailer)
(Unofficial demo music)

After seeing the new Watchmen movie trailer, I had a track I was working on that I thought might go well with the visuals. The track is called Scorpio and is available in full here.

(This video clip is a personal demo for promo purposes only.)

Ronin (Film Clip)
(Unofficial demo music)

As another demonstration of some of my scoring techniques, I wrote some demo music against the classic car chase scene from Ronin. Written to demonstrate some of my film scoring techniques, the track is called The Getaway and is available in full here.

(This video clip is a personal demo for promo purposes only.)

Casshern (Trailer)
(Unofficial demo music)

This promo clip is from the cult 2004 Japanese futuristic fantasy movie Casshern written and directed by Kazuaki Kiriya. The music is a new orchestral action track I've written called Titan which is available from my mp3 music shop to download or license for use in your own film or trailer here.

(This video clip is a personal demo for promo purposes only.)

Moving Image Artwork (atmospheric piano)

Still Life: London
Wyllie O'Hagan

The moving image artwork, Still Life: London explores a quest for stillness in a hectic world. Two screens project moving images with piano soundtrack. One screen shows a personal collection of still, quiet life objects, beautifully considered and composed, revealed at a reflective pace. The second screen shows abstract energetic lines wildly draw with light.

Buy the piano track Leaving Paris in my mp3 shop here.

Nature Footage (ambient/atmospheric)

Antarctica
BBC

BBC footage of icebergs & glaciers in Antarctica, scored with a hypnotic and atmospheric ambient soundtrack.

You can buy the full 7 minute ambient music track as a CD quality mp3 here. Think Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Stars Of The Lid, Biosphere, Vangelis, Solaris
etc.

TV Commercials

Pierre Laurent Wristwatches
One Track Mind Productions

Set of three 15-second television commercials from Canadian production company One Track Mind for watchmaker Pierre Laurent. Music styles included hip-hop and urban/dance.
