Please note: unfortunately I’m finding more and more people using my music without purchasing a valid license before using it – any unlicensed use of my music, even for non-commercial use, is an infringement of copyright and IP rights and is prosecutable by law. Unlicensed music used on sites like YouTube/Vimeo etc. can lead to your account being suspended, and unlicensed use in any publicly available films, videos, websites or other formats will be legally pursued. If in doubt, please contact me for any licensing queries before use.
The following terms and conditions must be agreed to before purchasing and using my music:
- A valid license must be purchased for each track before publicly using music in any film, video or other visual production (the royalty-free collections include a license as part of the package when you buy them).
- Whether the film is commercial or non-commercial/not for profit (e.g. on trailers, websites, YouTube, mySpace etc.) a license must be purchased before use.
- Licenses can be purchased along with each track by selecting the relevant license from the track’s dropdown menu:

- Important: Purchasing a license does not include the actual music track itself – this needs to be added separately to your shopping cart. This is because not everyone wishes to use the music in a project – some are buying the music for personal listening only (e.g. to play on their iPod). It also means you can buy the track now to try out privately in your video before deciding if you wish to purchase a license. Therefore, to use a music track in your project, you need to add both the mp3 and the license from the track’s dropdown. The total price for buying a track to use in a project is the mp3 price plus the license cost:

- A valid license is necessary for each individual project the music is to be used in (e.g. if you purchase a license for a track, this covers its use in one project only).
- You may not lease, lend, sell or sub-license music to any third-party or company. Any use of music must be for your own use, or for the use of your client, company or customer, who must be the licensed end-user of the music.
- You may not copy, share or distribute the music to any other parties.
- Purchasing a license gives you the right to legally use the music in your films/projects – it is not a transfer of copyright. Copyright remains with the composer at all times.
- Due to the non-returnable nature of mp3 digital music files, refunds are not possible. Please ensure you purchase the correct songs.
If you have any questions about music use or licensing issues, please contact me here. I’m happy to discuss bulk or custom licensing prices tailored to your individual projects.
