This enables film and documentary makers to purchase the music download along with a license which instantly clears the tracks for use in student films, non-commercial or commercial films, documentaries, trailers or other projects.

While the music is aimed at film & TV production companies, editors, producers and independent filmmakers looking for atmospheric music to license for use in their films, documentaries and programs, it should also appeal to general music fans. So if you like atmospheric film soundtracks, dramatic trailer cues and dark textural soundscapes you can just buy and download the music tracks for personal listening.

To get started, just select a category of music from the drop-down list on the right, or if you want to browse all tracks, just select “All tracks“. You can also use the Search box to enter any search terms for the type of music you’re looking for, e.g. epic, dramatic, melancholy, piano etc. Try entering any search terms; whether it’s a specific mood, style or even instrument -- have a play around ….

The results will list any tracks that match your search terms and you can then listen to a full preview of each track by clicking the play preview button next to the track title. If you like the track, you can add it to your basket (you can always delete it later if you change your mind).

Each track has several different purchase options you can choose from; the basic option is to buy just the download track for personal listening as a high quality mp3. This is the same as if you bought a track from iTunes or Amazon -- there’s no Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions so you can put them on your iPod, burn them to CD to play in the car or however you choose to listen to your music. But as with any commercial music, I do ask that you don’t copy or distribute the tracks to friends, upload sites etc.

If you’d like to use any of my music in your film, documentary or other visual project, you will need to purchase a license to cover the synchronisation (or synch) rights. Full licenses are available for both commercial and non-commercial uses so you can buy, license and download the music instantly and start using it in your projects straight away. If you don’t see the type of license you need, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to arrange one that meets your needs.

Many people assume it will be prohibitively expensive to license music for film use, but in most instances (e.g. student films, festivals, low budget productions, websites etc.) the prices I charge are very affordable. Check the licensing section of the site for an idea of prices, or get in touch for a custom quote.

Unlike stock music websites, I don’t have thousands of tracks (yet!), but I try to focus on quality over quantity. All of my music is composed with a sense of atmosphere, texture and attention to detail that is hopefully apparent and well suited to visuals. I put a lot of time and effort into writing, composing and playing these tracks and I get a lot of positive feedback from listeners which is always inspiring, so take a listen to some of the tracks and feel free to  get in touch with any questions or comments.

On a final note, I find a lot of people arrive at this site looking for free downloads of my music -- as with most musicians today, it is a struggle to make money from creating music so please be aware that it is my livelihood. I’m not a gigging musician so my only income is generated through selling and licensing my music. If you like a track enough to search for it, you can usually buy it here for just 99p -- and each purchase helps me to be able to dedicate more time to carry on creating music!
