Full Description

Polaris is a long atmospheric ambient space music track. Just under 10 minutes of long, organic, dark and evolving washes of epic instrumental cinematic soundscapes and ethereal unearthly outer space drones.  Dark atmospheric science-fiction themed music.

Perfect atmospheric and dramatic underscore or background music for documentaries and films or for fans of ambient music artists such as Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Thomas Koner, Lustmord, Biosphere, Stars Of The Lid and other ambient textural music and soundscapes. Similar in feel to cerebral sci-fi film soundtracks such as 2001, Solaris, Apollo Atmospheres and Soundtracks etc.

Dark Ambient Space Music: Polaris by Simon Wilkinson

Also makes ideal music for meditation, study, relaxation, yoga and triggering ASMR or sleep.

Many people also find it good music to listen to while playing roleplaying space games like Eve Online. Close your eyes and listen to the sound of yourself breathing in your spacesuit as you drift through the outer reaches of the cosmos.

See the promo video on the right with a cut-down clip of the music set against deep space video footage from the European Space Agency/Hubble Telescope (the full track is 10 minutes long).
