Can I Use Your Music In A New Production That I Submit To YouTube’s Content ID System?

Sorry, no this is definitely not something I can authorise or allow. This includes, for example, if you wanted to use a piece of my music in the background of a podcast that you wanted to submit to YouTube’s Content ID system to track and monetise use of your podcast on YouTube.

Because my music is being licensed to multiple customers, if you were to submit your podcast with my music to Content ID, this could cause other people using the same piece of my music on YouTube to get copyright infringement notices based on your work.

What you would effectively be doing by adding your voiceover/podcast to the top of my music is creating a new composition based on my underlying music which is something I do not do, due to the problems it creates with Content ID.

I don’t mind you selling your project that includes my music, but anything that submits it to YouTube’s Content ID or other similar audio fingerprinting services is not permitted.
