My orchestral action track Titan has just been used in the latest US promo trailers for ABC’s new reality TV show Take The Money And Run (see video on the right).
Titan is a dramatic orchestral action music track that is also available to download and license for use in your own films, trailers and videos from my website shop:
Here’s a nice new video from 3D graphic artist Dylan Gauld featuring my ambient music track Antarctica.
Growth is the outcome of a year’s worth of Dylan’s collaboration with mathematicians to develop new ways of visualising mathematical models to predict the growth and development of cancer cells.
Antarctica is a 7 and a half minute ambient track of slowly evolving atmospheric organic soundscapes and minimal piano. You can download or license the track for use in your own film or documentary here:
Here’s another new time lapse video from Randy Halverson at Dakotalapse which I provided a new custom scored piece of music and sound effects for. The video is called Tempest Milky Way and my track is called, suitably enough, Tempest. This is another stunning piece of astronomy time lapse footage shot in South Dakota from June-August 2011. Some words from Randy about the making of it:
“One of the challenges in making this video, was trying to get good storm and star shots. The opportunity doesn’t come along very often, the storm has to be moving the right speed and the lightning can overexpose the long exposures. I had several opportunities this summer to get storm and star shots. In one instance, within a minute of picking up the camera and dolly, 70mph winds hit. One storm was perfect, it came straight towards the setup, then died right before it reached it.
At the 1:57 mark a Whitetail buck came in to check out the setup. It was caught on 20 frames, and was there for about 10 minutes. It was only 50 yards from the camera, dolly and light.”
Tempest is a dramatic orchestral piece which moves through rising chord progressions of spiccato strings, horns and double bass to build to an atmospheric climax.
The music is available as an mp3 download from my music store (with or without the wind, thunder & lightning SFX). It can also be licensed instantly at low cost for use in your own videos and trailers.

Here’s another new trailer featuring some more of my music.
In this video, the trailer is promoting the Polo World Cup on Snow in St Moritz, Switzerland and it features my licensed orchestral action music track Aeternus.
The video promo was produced by Clark Morton at Whistlestone Productions for Carpe Diem TV and will be playing on local TV stations in the southwest Florida area as well as various online promotions and websites.
Aeternus is a 30 second action track featuring orchestra, heavy drums and percussion that builds to a dramatic climax. The track is ideal for sports or action promos and is available to download and instantly license at low cost for use in your own trailers, promotions, websites and Youtube/Vimeo/Facebook videos from my online music store.
Here’s a trailer for a documentary called Urbanbugs from filmmaker Aykut Alp Ersoy, featuring my music track Algiers.
Urbanbugs is a documentary from Turkey which focuses on street art concepts such as graffiti, stencilling and wheatpasting, and looks into the history and contribution they’ve made to hip hop and urban culture, as well as the sociological, political and economical messages:
The music track Algiers is a pulsing, driving and exciting contemporary electronica instrumental with synths, drum breaks, dramatic violin string stabs, piano riffs, sitar lines and a dusty yet modern electronic feel.
You can get the mp3 download of Algiers from my own online music shop for just 99p, as well as license this and lots more atmospheric instrumental music at low cost for your own films, Youtube videos, trailers or documentaries at the following link:
Another talented photographer has created a new time lapse video featuring more of my music. This time Harley Grady has created a piece called The Milky Way which uses my track Atlantis as the soundtrack (Atlantis can be found on my Royalty Free Music Collection Volume 2).
Harley’s Milky Way video consists of a series of time lapse videos shot between October 2010 and July 2011. You can read details of the equipment he used in the Youtube video description here.
If you’d like to license any of my music for your own videos, films or documentaries, I have a library of music in a range of styles from dark atmospheric ambient soundscapes to dramatic orchestral action tracks and many more, all available from my music download store at www.thebluemask.com/shop
After my previous music work on Randy Halverson‘s time lapse videos (which featured my licensed music track Scorpio and the custom-written ambient orchestral piece Exodus), here’s another stunning time lapse video from a different filmmaker, this time featuring my track Outpost 31. The filmmaker here is Daniel Lowe of Daniel Dragon Films (www.danieldragonfilms.com) and the film is a beautiful piece called Night Motion Timelapse: Outer Banks.
(As with any Vimeo clips, if you find the playback isn’t very smooth, try pressing play on the video, then pause it straight away until the progress bar is complete and the clip is fully buffered. When it’s done, restart the video and it should play smoothly with no stuttering.)
Full details along with features on the making of the film can be found on Daniel’s Vimeo page.
Outpost 31 is a dark and epic atmospheric instrumental track featuring strings, electronica, drum breaks and percussive electronics. The music has an epic, atmospheric, icy winter feel with a sense of impending danger or survival that would work well for geographic, nature or history TV trailers.
The music is available to buy from my mp3 shop, and is also available to license for your own films, Youtube videos, trailers and documentaries at the following link:
After licensing my track Scorpio for use in his beautiful time lapse video Sub Zero a few months back, here’s Randy Halverson‘s latest time lapse video called Plains Milky Way for which I wrote some music specifically for the soundtrack. This is a stunning piece of astronomy time lapse filming shot in South Dakota; ten seconds of video is about 2 hours 20 minutes in real time. The video has been gathering critical acclaim from a wide range of websites including Wired, National Geographic and The Telegraph, amongst many others. You can read more detailed information on how Randy filmed his work over at his website www.dakotalapse.com.
I wrote the atmospheric orchestral music track Exodus specifically for this piece and the music is available to buy as an mp3 download from my online shop here and can also be licensed for use in your own films, videos and trailers, along with all my other tracks and royalty-free music collections.
Update: You can also now buy a downloadable HD version of the video from Randy’s store here.

Following on from using my music forseveral previous games, 2 more of my orchestral music tracks have been used to help hype up the crowd for basketball giants the L.A. Lakers in their 2010/2011 NBA season playoff games.
I created 2 new mixes of my orchestral action music tracks Bloodstorm (top video) and Aeternus (bottom video) for the Lakers’ pre-game intros at their home stadium the Staples Center. The videos are played before the game on the stadium’s giant video screens to help build up excitement and introduce the team.
The music tracks are also available to download and license for use in your own film, video or trailer from my online music shop here:
